IKEA has always been about accessibility and focused on users. The “build-your-own-furniture” approach has always characterised the company and, as a consequence, designers and engineers have tried to optimise the process and the experience.
GOAL
"good design is thorough down to the last detail", Vitsoe
With this personal project, I wanted to reflect on IKEA e-commerce mobile app, focusing on interactions at the micro-level.

“The best way to have a good idea is to have a lot of ideas.”

Lessons learned
Fast prototyping is key: concretising ideas, showing them to the team (and myself!) is extremely effective and saves a lot of time.
Having a lot of ideas, fast, even if bad, makes discussions and decisions easier.
Micro-interactions are extremely important for the whole user experience.
